A Great Success!
On 11th May 2009 The Boundless Southern Africa Expedition Team set off from The Tourism Indaba in Durban to travel from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic, on a journey to link 9 Southern African Countries, 7 Transfrontier Conservation Areas, more than 30 Game and Nature Reserves and the Communities living in and adjacent to these areas. The theme for the expedition was "Nature, Culture and Community."
101 days after departure from Durban South Africa, The Boundless Southern Africa Expedition completed the last leg through the one of the greatest remaining true wildernesses that, as a result of the Diamond Act, has been closed off and left completely undisturbed for 100 years - The Sperrgebiet.
En-route, community initiatives included: Boundless Soccer Challenges; Boundless Art Competitions and Boundless Wildlife Quizzes. Mobile Libraries, Lap Top Desks and Life Drinking Straws were distributed hand to hand alongside education with on-going Rite to Sight and One Net One Life Campaigns.
Beyond borders, we are free to connect.
Beyond barriers, we are open to collaborate.
Beyond limitations, the possibilities are infinite.
